Comments on A Course In Miracles #1 Herein lies the peace of God.

  1. Lesson 77 pb 137: I am entitled to miracles.
    1. You are entitled to miracles becuase of what you are. You will receive miracles becuase of what God is. And you will offer miracles because you are one with God. Again, how simple is salvation. It is merely a statement of your true identity. It is this that we will celebrate today.

    Enjoy a miracle!

  2. Good words Dave. I often wonder if we may be dealing with conflicted ideas of defining the word miracle. To be sure there is a wide range of interpretation from 'miracle' as supernatural to 'miracle' as it was a miracle she passed her drivers licensing test. The 'miracle' of love, which seems to me is truly a gift, does not necessitate a 'god' but does demand a freedom of universal recognition. I think it will take a 'Miracle' for most of us to get to that place.

  3. Dear Lumpmeister:

You put your finger on a key concept in ACIM and that is what does the course mean by the word "miracle"? I take it to mean a blessing. When we feel "blessed" by somebody or something it alters our usual consciousness and places us in what the course calls a "holy instant".

Have you had that experience when time stood still and felt transcendtly blessed in ways that you find yourself more at one with the universe?

The next section of the commentaries will be on the principles of miracles of which the Course describes 50 right up front.

    Thanks for your comments.

I am thinking of holding a study group for ACIM starting in September which will meet in Brockport on the second and fourth Wednesday evening of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 PM beginning on September 14th.

If you are interesting in joining the study group, let me know at 585-727-3663 or at davidgmarkham@gmail.com. This study group will be limited to 10 people and will involve mutual sharing and discussion.
