I'm up for God Revised. God has been in need of much revision for quite some time. I'm glad to see a Unitarian Unitarian minister try to clarify things. Remember the joke about the little boy in Sunday School making a drawing and the teacher asked him what he was drawing. The little fellow said, "God". The kindly teacher said patronizingly, "Dear, nobody knows what God looks like." The kid says, "You will when I'm done."
ReplyDeleteGreat kid. Great story. Was it Galen?
How about The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry?
ReplyDeleteRead God Revised and loved it. Rev. Guengerich does a great job making his case at a personal, cultural, scientific, and theological level. I am looking forward to the discussion and I hope that many people will share their views of this important book.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the discussion of Galen's book. I have read about half of it, and I have found it interesting, entertaining, and informative so far. He has some very interesting ideas such as "I don't believe in a supernatural God myself but I think believing in God is a good thing." You'll have to read the book to understand his thinking because I can't do it justice. I am looking forward to what ideas, comments, and questions people have though.
