Thought For The Day - Shift your attention to the Profoundly Beautiful

"What I have called the Profoundly Beautiful lives deep within the heart of every human being."

Kenneth Collier, Our Seven Principles in Story and Verse, p. 16

  1. Just because Collier says it doesn't make it true. My experience has been that most people have a shadow side, a dark side, and aren't to be trusted. It's rare that someone hasn't screwed me over. Some people tell me I am cynical, negative, and paranoid. I tell them, no, I am realistic. You've got your pollyanna rose colored glasses on. Thomas Hobbes wrote in his book, Leviathan, "the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short." I think Hobbes has got it right and Collier and his ilk are only engaging in wishful thinking.
