Question of the day
As a child growing up, how did the people in your family handle and manage anger? Have you continued with the same practices or changed them? How?

My father would lose his temper and hit us. My brother, a year younger, got it worse than me because I learned how to read dad's behavior and I would stay out of his way when I perceived him to be in a bad mood. My mother was an avoider. I take after her and avoid and withdraw too. Not pouting or sulking but brooding until the anger passes. I don't hit people the way my father did or break things.
