As a Christian I hav...this is a wonderful article!<br /><br />As a Christian I have always admired the tradition of voluntary poverty. Like the Amish, as was mentioned in the article, there are many in the Catholic Church who have recognized the moral difficulties with a capitalistic system in a materialistic view of life. This materialism is fed yr corporate marketing activities as the article has been pointing out. I really appreciate this analysis and I think it deserves much greater discussion in our church. Perhaps the UU way should take a serious look at how economic policies influence moral behavior both at an individual and group level.<br /><br />And any rate, I am very grateful for this article.
