Love those whom life puts in your path.

I made my monthly pilgrimage yesterday to State Prison to see the man incarcerated there whom I visit monthly as a result of a request from his mother, a UU in Chcago.

He is doing well and looking forward to parole next March. I have been corresponding with him and visiting for about 4 years now at the request of Lauretta Young at Pullman Memorial Universalist Church in Albion, NY.

I never thought I would actually get involved in this kind of activity but there was no one else to do it.

Jesus said, "The way to the kingdom is to love as I have loved."

A good but naive person asked, "Okay, fine, but who should I love?"

Mother Teresa said "Love those whom God puts in your path."

I suppose if Mother Teresa had been a Unitarian Universalist she might have said, "Love those whom Life puts in your path."

So that's what I do as best I can. It seems to be working out.

Amen.
