Max Blumenthal talks about the conflicts of sexually hypocritical religious right politicians. I am not sure that other politicians are immune either when one considers people like Eliott Spitzer, Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, etc.
Thing that is most offensive is not the weak human natures of the people who engage in "sinful" behavior, but the deceit and hypocrisy which leaves one to wonder if you can believe what our leaders are telling us. The answer is that of course you can't believe it, you must think for yourself.
We UUs believe in the free and responsible search for truth and meaning and when religious right politicians claim to speak for God and know what God wants because they are people of faith, alarm bells should go off in any thinking person's mind and heart.
