I am a Roman Catholic Unitarian Univeralist and there are many like me. I call myself a "Roman Catholic Unitarian Universalist because the Unitarian Universalists will accept me while if I called myself a Unitarian Univeralist Roman Catholic, the Roman Catholics would not.

The third principle of Unitarian Univeralism is to affirm and promote the acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations.

Most of the Trump administration's values, beliefs, policies, and actions are contradictory to the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism. It is imperative that Trump's supporters and allies be voted out of office so that there is a chance of the United States getting back on the right track to creating a better life for all here in the States and around the world.

Please encourage your family, neighbors, co-workers, and friends to register to vote and to vote on November 6. The well being of our country and the world depends on it.

In spite of the back ward movement of the Trump administration on environmental protections and alternative clean energy development, most people favor clean energy and environmental protection. These values are an affirmation and promotion of UUs seventh principle, the respect for the interdependent web.

• Percentage of U.S. clothing thrown into landfills and incinerated compared to re-cycled = 84

UUAWOL ministries encourages people to covenant together to affirm and promote the seven principles, the seventh of which is  respect for the interdependent web. This respect involves being good stewards of the earth's resources from which clothing is made. What do you do with your used clothing?

UUAWOL index - Does screen time hamper spiritual growth?

Percentage of teens who say they spend too much time on their cellphones = 54%

Is this a spiritual problem?

Yes. 49% of girls and 35% of boys report that they feel anxious without their cell phones. This has been related to FOMO which is the "fear of missing out."

The ego protests its lack of strokes.

Inability to connect to inner spiritual resources is evident.

The saddest thing about these findings is that parents have the same problem which they have passed on to their children. This spiritual poverty is not just a condition of teens but their parents as well.

At UUAWOL ministries we encourage covenanting to affirm and promote our seven principles the third of which is acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth. Screen time and cell phones not only does little to foster the practice of this principle, they interfere. Limit the screen time and cell phone use to no more than two hours per day.

John McCain disrespects American's rights to free speech calling them "low life scum."

In 2015 when John McCain was the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services committee, he called protesters, exercising their first amendment right of free speech, "low life scum" and threatened to have them arrested if they didn't get out of his hearing.

With this behavior, McCain presaged Donald Trump's bullying and abusive behavior in American government activities



Senator McCain's behavior toward American's right to free speech at a Senate Armed Forces Committee hearing violates the Unitarian Univeralist fifth principle of the right to conscience and the use of the democratic process.

Unfortunately, President Trump would not be a good candidate for covenenting with Unitarian Univeralists because of his failure to affirm and promote the fourth principle, the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.

Good parents and grandparents teach their children and grandchildren to tell the truth. Trust, credibility, and right relationship depend on it. Parents and grandparents cannot tell their children and grandchildren to grow up and become a President like President Trump.
