Honor the inherent worth and dignity of every person.

Seek, recognize, and acknowledge the Divine Spark in every person.

Only honor is a fitting gift for those whom God Himself created worthy of honor, and whom He honors. Give them the appreciation God accords them always, because they are His beloved Sons in whom He is well pleased. You cannot be apart from them because you are not apart from Him. Rest in His Love and protect your rest by loving. But love everything He created, of which you are a part, or you cannot learn of His peace and accept His gift for yourself and as yourself. You cannot know your own perfection until you have honored all those who were created like you. T-7.VII.6: 1-6

We all are children of God and as such it is appropriate to honor each and every human being because they have what Unitarian Universalists call, in their first principle, inherent worth and dignity.

Today, seek, recognize, and acknowledge the Divine Spark in every person.

Jesus is coming!

Merry Christmas, baby!

Do you choose to invest in illusions of the ego or the Transcendent Source of your Higher Self?

Illusions are investments. They will last as long as you value them. Values are relative, but they are powerful because they are mental judgments. The only way to dispel illusions is to withdraw all investment from them, and they will have no life for you because you will have put them out of your mind. While you include them in it, you are giving life to them. Except there is nothing there to receive your gift.T-7.VII.4: 1-6

A Course in Miracles (p. 264). Foundation for Inner Peace. Kindle Edition.

The passages of A Course In Miracles are filled with  wry humor. They are dry jokes. They take a little thinking to get them. Some people believe in illusions and the only thing that makes the illusions seem real is that the person has invested in them. The bumper sticker says, “Don’t believe everything you think.” When a person withdraws their investment in the illusion, it disappears. What then takes the place of illusions in the person’s mind and heart?

In Unitarian Universalism some of us join together to affirm and promote the free and responsible search for truth and meaning. Truth is not to be found in illusions in the world of the ego. Truth is to be found in the Oneness of our Transcendent Source.

Today it is suggested that we recognize and acknowledge the illusions that we have given credence to and withdraw it and raise our sights to the Higher Self generated by our Transcendent Source. Most likely this is done in some sort of meditation.
