What is it that Unitarian Universalists are seeking?

When people crave material objects, the worst is brought out in them.
When people aspire to be rich, they engender an ambition which distorts their vision.
When people strive to be smart, they overlook the importance of being kind.
When people become attached to things and ideas, great suffering ensues.

Unitarian Universalists know better than to cling to the things on the path of the ego.
Unitarian Universalists apprise more than anything the value of the covenant.
Unitarian Universalists support each other in following seven mutually agreed upon principles.
Together, Unitarian Universalists seek holiness in order to sanctify the world.
