Today's lesson - There is nothing my holiness cannot do.

Today's lesson, number 38, in A Course In Miracles is "There is nothing my holiness cannot do."

Today's lesson fits very congruently with the mission of UU A Way Of Life ministries which is to sanctify the world by helping people to become holy. Perhaps the mission statement could be better articulated as sanctifying the world by helping people become aware of their holiness since they are already hoy, they just don't know it yet.

Unitarian Universalists covenant together, after all, to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. The person's inherent worth and dignity, an intrinsic quality, refers to their holiness.

It is written in the lesson, "Your holiness is totally unlimited in its power because it establishes you as a Son of God, at one with the Mind of his Creator."

It goes on with some truly astonishing ideas, "Through your holiness the power of God is made manifest. Through your holiness the power of God is made available. And there is nothing the power of God cannot do. Your holines, then, can remove all pain, can end all sorrow, and can solve all problems. It can do so in connection with yourself and with anyone else. It is equal in power to help anyone because it is equal in its power to save anyone. If you are holy, so is everything God created. You are holy because all things He created are holy. And all things He created are holy because you are."

This holiness comes from the nondualistic Oneness of the Universe not from the things on the path of the ego. The world, of course, does not see things this way. The world belittles, scoffs, demeans, attacks, abuses, and sometimes even kills the body. However, the Spirit does not die and continues to manifest its Unconditional Love for all of creation and in this sense, it knows that "there is nothing my holiness cannot do."
