It is strengthened by being given away. It increases in you as you give it to your brother. Your brother does not have to be aware of the Holy Spirit in himself or in you for this miracle to occur. He may have dissociated the Call for God, just as you have. This dissociation is healed in both of you as you become aware of the Call for God in him, and thus acknowledge Its being. Unitarian Universalists covenant together to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. When you see inherent worth and dignity in your brother and sister, you become more aware of it in yourself.
A Course In Miracles says that we learn what we teach, we receive what we share. The Spiritual world is not a zero sum game, but one of abundance. It does not operate on the principle of division but on the principle of multiplication.
Today, it is suggested that we look for the good, the true, and beautiful in others and in so doing we become more aware of their existence in ourselves.
