The principle of Atonement and the separation began at the same time. When the ego was made, God placed in the mind the Call to joy. This Call is so strong that the ego always dissolves at Its sound. That is why you must choose to hear one of two voices within you. One you made yourself, and that one is not of God. But the other is given you by God, Who asks you only to listen to it. Jesus says in Matthew 7:7 ““Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” In the Course, Jesus tells us further that God has given us the Holy Spirit which He calls here “The Call to joy.”
Jesus tells us that we have a choice. Do we want to listen to the ego or to Call to joy?
Today, be mindful that there is a choice between the world of the ego or the world of peace and joy. Which will be chosen?
