On whom and what do we focus our energy?

God did not make the body, because it is destructible, and therefore not of the Kingdom. The body is the symbol of what you think you are. It is clearly a separation device, and therefore does not exist. The Holy Spirit, as always, takes what you have made and translates it into a learning device. Again as always, He reinterprets what the ego uses as an argument for separation into a demonstration against it. If the mind can heal the body, but the body cannot heal the mind, then the mind must be stronger than the body. Every miracle demonstrates this. T-6.V.A.2:1-7

Once again, in the passage above, the metaphysical model of ACIM challenges our usual way of perceiving and interpreting in the ego world. In the Kingdom of God there are no bodies as bodies are a human made object whose purpose, according to ACIM, is learning about the Kingdom of God in our conscious mind. Consciousness arose with the advent of the separation. The function of the Holy Spirit is to help us remember from whence our consciousness arose and to which it will return. Consciousness can create hell or heaven depending on where we want to focus our mind, in whom or what we trust, and in what we engage our energy and activities.

In Unitarian Universalism some of us join together to affirm and promote our inherent worth and dignity which comes from our Transcendent Source of which we are a part and has nothing to do with our bodies.

Today it is suggested that we take some time to remember who and what we are, in who or what we trust, and on whom or what we want to focus our energy.
