I hope for justice, equity, and compassion in human relations. I hope for a world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all.
I look forward to the lengthening days after the Winter Solstice which signals the birth of new life.
Jesus, whether you think of him as THE SON OF GOD or as one of our brothers who simply pointed the way to heaven on earth, his birth is worthy of celebration.
Jesus admonished us in Matthew 24:42, "Keep awake therefore, for you do not know the day your Lord is coming." Consciousness is born every moment if we are aware of the possibility. Doubt is the beginning of true faith. If you have found the answer you have missed the real truth for life is mysterious and awesome and if you think you know the answers you are ignorant, indeed.
The birth of Jesus reminds us of renewal, of hope, of fellowship in humanity, of peace, of love.
Advent reminds us to Stand On The Side of Love in all of its many meanings.
It is very comforting to read fellow Roman Catholic Unitarian Universalists on this blog. I love the Unitarian Universalist faith but I have deep Roman Catholic roots. To see who the two religions can be woven together is wonderful. Keep up the good work, my friend!
