Let me remember God created me.
We come from God. We are an extension of God’s Unconditional Love. I have never left my Source, remaining part of What created me.
Our ego wants us to believe that we have created ourselves. But this is an illusion. It is all drama. As Shakespeare writes in his play, As You Like It, “All the world’s a stage and the men and women are merely players.”
In Alcoholic Anonymous it is suggested in step eleven that we improve our conscious contact with God through prayer and meditation. In today’s ACIM lesson it is suggested that we merely remember that God created me.
In Unitarian Universalism we covenant together to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person which comes from the person’s Source. The person’s worth and dignity has nothing to do with the person’s ego but the Ground of the person’s Being. The person doesn’t have to do anything to earn it or merit it, It is given at the person’s creation.
Today, we remember from whence we came and to which we return. We are extensions of God’s world of Love of which we are and always have been a part.
