Be confident that you have never lost your Identity and the extensions which maintain It in wholeness and peace. Miracles are an expression of this confidence. They are reflections of both your proper identification with your brothers, and of your awareness that your identification is maintained by extension. The miracle is a lesson in total perception. Without an understanding of the metaphysics of A Course In Miracles, the passage above makes little or no sense to the reader. Are you just a drop of the ocean or the ocean? If, as a drop, you merge back into the ocean have you lost your identity or become something larger as the whole? The miracle is apprehending the whole and not just the drop.
In Unitarian Universalism some of us join together to affirm and promote an awareness of the interdependent web of all existence. Our awareness shifts from the part to the whole.
Today it is suggested that we reflect on the Whole, the non dual Oneness, the Ocean.
