We need not think alike to love alike.

You cannot understand yourself alone. This is because you have no meaning apart from your rightful place in the Sonship, and the rightful place of the Sonship is God. This is your life, your eternity and your Self. It is of this that the Holy Spirit reminds you. It is this that the Holy Spirit sees. This vision frightens the ego because it is so calm. Peace is the ego’s greatest enemy because, according to its interpretation of reality, war is the guarantee of its survival. The ego becomes strong in strife. If you believe there is strife you will react viciously, because the idea of danger has entered your mind. The idea itself is an appeal to the ego. The Holy Spirit is as vigilant as the ego to the call of danger, opposing it with His strength just as the ego welcomes it. The Holy Spirit counters this welcome by welcoming peace. Eternity and peace are as closely related as are time and war. T-5.III.8: 1  -  13

The ego loves strife and conflict because strife and conflict justify and expand its existence. The Holy Spirit rises above strife and conflict and brings the peace of being a part of something larger, transcendent, and all encompassing. Would you have strife and conflict or peace and joy? If you choose peace and joy, the ego has to be encapsulated and eliminated.

In Unitarian Universalism we covenant together to affirm and promote the interdependent web of existence which is beyond our individual self and encompasses the Ground Of Being.

Today, give up strife and conflict. We need not think alike to love alike. Ask yourself, “What would love have me do?”

In which world do we want to live: the world of the ego or the world of Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the Mediator between the interpretations of the ego and the knowledge of the spirit. T-5.III.7: 1

A Course in Miracles . Foundation for Inner Peace. Kindle Edition.

Jesus told his disciples to be in the world but not of the world. We live in the world of the ego, but, if we choose, be of the world of Spirit. The Holy Spirit, teaches A Course In Miracles, is the Mediator between these two worlds and will help us navigate them if we ask.

Unitarian Universalists join together to affirm and promote the free and responsible search for truth and meaning which is permission, encouragement and support to navigate the world of the ego and the world of Spirit.

The world of the ego is a world of conditional love while the world of Spirit is a world of unconditional love. Today, we have a choice in which world we want to live.

Something's wrong here - When it comes to the democratic process, Michael Flynn, Trump's supporter takes the fifth.

Vote and campaign for those who engage in the democratic process and not the Big Lie

The fifth of the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism is to covenant together to affirm and promote the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large.

The Jan 6th committee hearings lift up the importance of the democratic process instead of the Big Lie. When citizens campaign and vote, they should be encouraged to campaign andvote for candidates who believe in the democratic process.

In the stillness, peace and joy arise.

T-5.III.6. I have repeatedly emphasized that one level of the mind is not understandable to another. So it is with the ego and the Holy Spirit; with time and eternity. Eternity is an idea of God, so the Holy Spirit understands it perfectly. Time is a belief of the ego, so the lower mind, which is the ego’s domain, accepts it without question. The only aspect of time that is eternal is now.

A Course in Miracles . Foundation for Inner Peace. Kindle Edition.

Time is one of those things that isn’t real. It is an illusion created in the ego world to give the ego the idea that it has some control. The before and after become idols of the ego mind. We love history and to pine for the future. These preoccupations preclude the awareness of the present, the now, what the Course calls the “Holy Instant.”

In Unitarian Universalism we covenant together to affirm and promote the free and responsible search for truth and meaning. This truth and meaning is not to be found in the past or in the future, but by going inward and getting in touch with the Tao where time stands still.

Today, take some time to clear the mind of thoughts of the past or the future and just rest in the present where there is no time but simply the present. Experience the lack of time where time stands still. Just be still. In the stillness peace and joy arise.

Where did the time go?

Delay is of the ego, because time is its concept. Both time and delay are meaningless in eternity. I have said before that the Holy Spirit is God’s Answer to the ego. Everything of which the Holy Spirit reminds you is in direct opposition to the ego’s notions, because true and false perceptions are themselves opposed. The Holy Spirit has the task of undoing what the ego has made. He undoes it at the same level on which the ego operates, or the mind would be unable to understand the change. T-5.III.5: 1 - 6

A Course in Miracles . Foundation for Inner Peace. Kindle Edition.

In the world of Spirit there is no time. There is no before. There is no after. There is only the present. The Holy Spirit, if you will allow, undoes the ego. This undoing is freedom. Be free.

In Unitarian Universalism we covenant together to affirm and promote the interdependent web of existence where there is no time and everything is part of the whole. Everything is holy, holy, holy.

Today, sit still and enter into the timeless space where time stands still. When you re enter the world of the ego you might say, “Where did the time go?”

Look for the inherent worth and dignity of every person.

The Voice of the Holy Spirit is weak in you. That is why you must share It. It must be increased in strength before you can hear It. It is impossible to hear It in yourself while It is so weak in your mind. It is not weak in Itself, but It is limited by your unwillingness to hear It. If you make the mistake of looking for the Holy Spirit in yourself alone your thoughts will frighten you because, by adopting the ego’s viewpoint, you are undertaking an ego-alien journey with the ego as guide. This is bound to produce fear. T-5.III.4: 1 - 7

A Course in Miracles . Foundation for Inner Peace. Kindle Edition.

We have a choice: to listen to the ego or to Spirit, to listen to conditional love or unconditional love. The voice for unconditional love is weak within us because we live in fear of being hurt, rejected, attacked. When we look for unconditional love only in ourselves, the ego scoffs, ridicules, tells us we are fools. It is when we perceive unconditional love in others that we recognize and can strengthen it in ourselves.

Unitarian Universalists covenant together to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. In joining together to uplift this inherent worth and dignity of every person  peace and joy arise.

Today, look for the inherent worth and dignity in every person you meet.
