I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.
Review of lesson #199 - I am not a body. I am free.
Are you a body with a soul or a soul with a body? Very important and significant question which is not to be just brushed over as a trivial inquiry because the answer has tremendous implications for the way you see yourself and live your life and relate to others.
In Alcoholics Anonymous, it is suggested in step twelve that having had a spiritual awakening we share our new consciousness with others. The primary message being one of hope and a possible strategy for the same awakening.
In Unitarian Universalism, we covenant together to affirm and promote the awareness of the inherent worth and dignity of every person which comes not from their body but from the Divine Spark within them which is shared with all humanity and all things.
Today, it is suggested that we take fifteen minutes at the beginning and end of the day, and many times in between, to remind ourselves that we are not bodies but are free to be as God created us to be, which is loving consciousnesses.
