I am in need of nothing but the truth,
And, what is the truth? The big truth is that God loves us unconditionally. Hell is what we do to ourselves.
In Alcoholic Anonymous, it is suggested in step three that we make a decision to turn away from our willfulness and instead do the will of God. Goodness, give up the ego? Yes. You’ll be happier and have more peace.
In Unitarian Universalism we covenant together to affirm and promote the free and responsible search for truth and meaning. Truth and meaning are to be found in the answer to the question, “What would Love have me do?”
Today, I will reflect on the idea that I don’t need anything but the truth. Truth is what Love would have me do and it is in choosing to do this that Truth is found and peace then abounds.
