Now would I be as God created me.
In the heart we are brilliant diamonds shining in our lustrous glory. The trick to this awareness is to get past all the socialization and conditioning which has encrusted this precious gem.
In Alcoholics Anonymous it is suggested in step eleven that we seek to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand God. In taking this step we come to realize our Oneness with our Creative Source. As St. Paul writes in his letter to the Corinthians, “If God is with you, who can be against you?”
In Unitarian Universalism we covenant together to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. Amen! Alleluia! Let your light shine!
Today, it is suggested that we begin and end the day, and many times in between, realize the light that shines within us and manifest it to ourselves and to the world.
